IDEA Implementation Coalition

IDEA Implementation Coalition

CASE established and leads the national IDEA Implementation Coalition in Washington, DC.  Twenty general and special education-focused national  organizations participate, all of whom represent personnel working in school districts to provide students with disabilities the services they need to be successful in school and beyond.  The coalition was established to work with the U.S. Department of Education regarding regulations, guidance, and technical assistance on the implementation of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).  As appropriate, the coalition also interfaces with the congressional education and appropriations committees to ensure any federal education legislation considers the perspectives of administrators, classroom educators, and specialized instructional support personnel.
